Heisman Odds See Big Shakeup Ahead of Rivalry Week

The 2022-23 NCAA college football season has been full of surprising upsets and unexpected victors. The best teams in the nation have stayed at the top of the rankings due to some incredible individual performances, though. Those players are in contention to be awarded the Heisman Trophy.

The Heisman Trophy odds have seen a major shakeup after quarterback Hendon Hooker suffered a significant knee injury in Tennessee's Week 12 loss to South Carolina. Hooker was considered the favorite heading into the week after racking up 32 total touchdowns and only a pair of interceptions.

With Hooker no longer listed in the odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, Ohio State QB CJ Stroud has taken over as the favorite at -130. The fourth-place finisher from 2021 has guided the Buckeyes to an undefeated record and has passed for 2,991 yards to go along with 35 TDs and 4 interceptions.

Caleb Williams has been rising up the rankings and is not far behind with odds at +130. The USC signal-caller shined against the UCLA Bruins in Week 12, completing 32 of his 43 pass attempts for 47 0 yards and 2 TDs (1 interception). He added 33 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground as well.

The only other player within striking distance is running back Blake Corum at +1400. The Michigan standout has logged 1,537 yards from scrimmage and 19 total TDs. Stroud and Corum meet head-to-head on Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday, while Williams faces off against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. ET.
