The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Barclays Center on Sunday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been in great form as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Thunder in a 121-110 home win on Friday. Jaren Jackson Jr led the team with 25 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, Ja Morant tallied 19 points with 11 assists, John Konchar added 19 points with 10 rebounds while Dillon Brooks chipped in with 16 points and six assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 41 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line which aren’t impressive numbers, but they were aggressive and grabbed 17 offensive boards while outscoring the Thunder at the free throw line by 29-9.
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games and they will be eager to stay hot after sneaking past the Trail Blazers in a 109-107 road win on Thursday. Kevin Durant led the way with 35 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Yuta Watanabe drained five 3-pointers to finish with 20 points off the bench while Joe Harris and Ben Simmons each scored 15 points. As a team, the Nets shot 50 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they wrestled with the Trail Blazers in a tight contest that looked headed for overtime, before Royce O’Neale made the game-winning tip shot to carry the Nets over the line in the end.
