The Memphis Grizzlies (10-6, 6-10 ATS, 8-8 O/U) battle the Brooklyn Nets (7-9, 6-9-1 ATS, 6-10 O/U) in an inter-conference showdown on Sunday night. The Grizzlies posted a home win against the Thunder on Friday. The Nets recorded a road win against the Trail Blazers in their previous action. The Grizzlies logged a 134-124 home win against the Nets last month.
The Memphis Grizzlies enter this one with confidence. They had lost two in a row against the Wizards and Pelicans and snapped that mini two-game slide with a convincing 121-110 home win against the Thunder on Friday night to cover the 6.5-point spread. Memphis now stands in first place in the division. They have not covered in three straight road games.
Ja Morant collected 19 points and 11 boards in Friday’s victory. The 23-year-old point guard is having an outstanding season, recording an average of 28.6 PPG and 7.1 APG. Morant only averaged nine points in two games against the Nets last season. Jaron Jackson Jr. made his season debut against the Pelicans on Tuesday but struggled. He was much better on Friday, sinking 25 points and added 12 rebounds. The 23-year-old is one of the better young pl ayers in the league and makes this Grizzlies team a legit contender. Dillon Brooks has scored at least 19 points in three out of his last four games. The 26-year-old small forward has logged 15.8 PPG on the season. Desmond Bane remains out of action.

Memphis has dropped two consecutive road games and is now 4-5 on the road this season. The Grizzlies haven’t been scoring many points recently and are averaging 114.3 points on the season, landing them 13th. Memphis is an outstanding defensive squad, allowing 113 or fewer points in four straight bouts. The Grizzlies are conceding an average of 113.2 points, placing them 16th in the NBA.
