The Anaheim Ducks (5-11-1, 11 points, last Pacific) are on the road Saturday when visiting the St. Louis Blues (8-8-0, 16 points, 5th Central). Anaheim was defeated by the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Thursday night and the Ducks have lost four of the last five with only a victory over the Detroit Red Wings during that span. St Louis is playing excellent hockey, as the Blues are coming off a 5-4 shootout victory over the Washington Capitals on Thursday night giving St Louis its fifth consecutive win. Anaheim is playing without Nathan Beaulieu, Jamie Drysdale, John Moore and Kevin Shattenkirk amongst others. St Louis will play without Robert Bortuzzo, Logan Brown, Scott Perunovich and Marco Scandella.

The Anaheim Ducks are scoring an average of only 2.65 goals per game which is 29th in the NHL. Anaheim is taking an average of 30.2 shots per game which is 25th. The Ducks have one of the weakest power plays in the NHL, scoring 10.9% of the time with the man advantage which is 31st. The points leader for Anaheim is Troy Terry with 20 and Terry is also the leader in assists with 13. Trevor Zegras is the leader in goals scored with 8, while Terry has scored seven goals. Anaheim has scored only five power-play goals in 17 games.

 

Anaheim is giving up an average of 4.24 goals per game which is next to last in hockey. The Ducks are last in shots allowed at 38.4 per game and last in penalty kill success at 63.3%. Anaheim’s two goalies are performing poorly as well. John Gibson is 3-9-1 with a 4.13 goals against average a nd .893 save percentage in 13 appearances, while Anthony Stolarz is 2-2-0 with a 3.74 goals-against average and .902 save percentage in seven appearances between the pipes.
