Philadelphia Eagles vs. Indianapolis Colts Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-20-2022

The Philadelphia Eagles (8-1, 5-4 ATS, 6-3 O/U) collide with the Indianapolis Colts (4-5-1, 4-6 ATS, 2-8 O/U) in an AFC battle on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles were dealt their first loss of the season against the Commanders on Monday night. The Colts were able to collect a road win against the Raiders last week. These foes last met in 2018 in a game the Eagles won 21-16.

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to rebound from their first defeat of the season. The Eagles had to lose at some point and the spectacular eight-game winning streak is over. Philly was labeled as the big 11-point favorite in a 32-21 home loss against a pesky Commanders squad. The Eagles have little room for error considering the Giants are only one game behind them atop the NFC East.  The Eagles have covered in just one out of their last three games.

Jalen Hurts wasn’t quite as dominant last week, finishing with just 175 passing yards. The 24-year-old QB had his streak of four straight games without an interception snapped and has accrued 2217 passing yards and a 14:3 TD to INT ratio on the year and has added 354 rushing yards.

Miles Sanders had 93 rushing yards a gainst the Texans but only managed 54 last week. The 25-year-old RB has reached the 100 yards mark once and has 710 rushing yards on an average of 5 yards per rush. A.J. Brown only made one reception last week but overall has been consistent. The 25-year-old WR has logged 725 receiving yards. Dallas Goedert has been added to the IR which is a big loss. Last week marked the first time the Philly offense has scored less than 24 points all season.

The Eagles' defense wasn’t quite as sharp as usual last week, conceding 330 yards, above their season average of 302. It's no cause for concern as the unit has been consistently holding foes to less than 20 points. The pass defense is marked 2nd while the rush defense is 20th. Philly is scoring an average of 27.3 points, ranking them third. They are limiting foes to 18.6 points, placing them seventh in the NFL.
