A pair of Pac-12 teams take the field in search of a victory down in the Valley of the Sun. The #23 Oregon State Beavers are on the road as they make the trip to face the Arizona State Sun Devils Saturday afternoon. Oregon State cruised past Cal 38-10 at home last Saturday, easily covering the 10.5-point line in the process, in their most recent contest. Arizona State was upended 28-18 on the road by Washington State last Saturday, failing to cover the line as a 9.5-point underdog, in their most recent contest. In the all-time series between the teams, the Sun Devils own a 30-15-1 advantage but the Beavers claimed a 24-10 win at home in the most recent contest back on November 20, 2021.

Oregon State won for the fourth time in five games as they rolled over Cal in their previous contest last week. The Beavers improved to 7-3 overall on the season and 4-3 in the Pac-12 so a win here would guarantee them a winning record in conference play. Against Cal, Oregon State led 14-0 after the opening quarter and jumped up 21-0 early in the second quarter en route to the win. The Beavers held a 362-156 edge in total offense, rolled up 21 first downs while allowing 10 and controlled the clock by a 36:38 to 23:22 margin. Both teams turned the ball over once though Oregon State did score on a punt return in the contest.

On the season, the Beavers are 93rd in the nation in passing offense with 212.4 yards per game through the air. Oregon State is tied for 33rd in rushing offense as they average 190 yards per contest this season. The Beavers are 41st of the 131 FBS teams to take the field this season in scoring offense as they put up 32 points per contest. Oregon State is 36th in scoring defense as they allow an average of 21.6 points per game this season. Chance Nolan is 66 of 111 passing for 939 yards with seven touchdowns and eight interceptions this season. He is sixth on the team with 75 rushing yards plus a score. Ben Gulbranson (88 of 142, 1042 yards, seven TD, three INT, 18 rushing yards) is next in line on the depth chart. Deshaun Fenwick is third on the team on the ground as he has 85 carries for 393 yards and six touchdowns this season. Tre’Shaun Harrison leads the team with 47 receptions for 571 yards plus four scores this season. Anthony Gould (27 catches, 457 yards, three TD), Luke Musgrave (11 receptions, 169 yards, TD), Jack Velling (11 receptions, 186 yards, two TD) and Tyjon Lindsey (22 grabs, 246 yards, TD) are all over the 150-yard mark in receiving yards this season. Atticus Sappington is 15 of 16 on extra point attempts and five of seven on field goal attempts with a long of 40. Everett Hayes is 21 of 22 on extra points and three of seven on field goals with a long of 49 this year.
