Anaheim Ducks vs. Winnipeg Jets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-17-2022

The Anaheim Ducks face the Winnipeg Jets with both teams on opposite ends of the standings to start the season. The Ducks have a 5-10-1 record and are in last place in the Pacific Division while the Jets have a 9-4-1 record and with seven wins in the last 10 games have the second-best record in the Central Division. The Ducks are looking to climb out of the bottom of the Pacific Division while the Jets are looking to maintain one of the best records in the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Ducks are having an awful season with their offense scoring only 2.69 goals per game with only six goals in the last three games. While Troy Terry, Trevor Zegras, and Ryan Strome have scored 18 goals and 27 assists, the rest of the offense has struggled. Only four skaters have scored five goals or more while only five skaters have added six assists to the offense and opposing defenses can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Ducks down this year, allowing 4.31 goals per game. John Klingberg and Cam Fowler have led the top two pairings but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender John Gibson has struggled in the net with a .892 save percentage and a 4.23 goals-against average on 434 shots.
