The Memphis Grizzlies pay a visit to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their past seven games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after having their two-game win streak halted by the Wizards in a 102-92 road loss on Sunday. Dillon Brooks led the team with 19 points, Tyus Jones added 17 points with five assists while Steven Adams tallied 12 points with 10 rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 39 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and scored just 19 points in the first quarter to fall behind early. Things only got worse as the game went on as the Grizzlies just couldn’t find their offense, especially in the fourth quarter where they managed just 18 points to allow the Wizards to pull away.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last six games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the lowly Rockets in a 119-106 home win on Saturday. Zion Williamson led the team with 26 points on eight of nine shooting, Larry Nance Jr. added 22 points while Brandon Ingram chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 18-point lead, before they made up for it in the fourth quarter where they held the Rockets to just 19 points to win comfortably in the end.
