Northwestern vs. Georgetown Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-15-2022

The Northwestern Wildcats (2-0, 1-1 ATS, 0-2 O/U) take on the Georgetown Hoyas (2-0, 1-1 ATS, 2-0 O/U) in an inter-conference battle on Tuesday night. The Wildcats are 2-0 after defeating Northern Illinois last time out. The Hoyas are also 2-0 after beating Wisconsin Green Bay in their previous action.

The Northwestern Wildcats are looking to improve to 3-0. First, they were huge 23-point favorites in a promising 85-54 home win against Chicago State and were marked 17.5-point favorites in a 63-46 home win against Northern Illinois of the MAC on Friday. The Wildcats return a decent portion of last year’s roster but lost top scorer Pete Nance to the Tar Heels.

Robbie Beran has been stellar in two performances, sinking 20 and 15 points respectively. The senior forward displayed his potential last season by posting 6 PPG and appears ready to have a big season. Beran has connected on 50% of his field goals so far. Boo Buie was the Wildcats’ second leading scorer in 2021-2022 with 14.1 PPG. The senior guard scored 13 points in the win against NIU and the coaching staff is hoping he can improve on last year's 39% mark from the field. He has shot 37.5% in two games. Chase Audige was a k ey player last year, logging 9.8 PPG. The senior guard has amassed 19 points in two clashes.

The Wildcats are ranked 89th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s college basketball ratings and are probably going to be near the bottom of the Big Ten which is as competitive as ever. They were voted by the media to finish 13th in the Big Ten preseason poll. Last season, Northwestern averaged 72.9 points, ranking them 135th but were a poor shooting team. They have connected on only 42% of their field goals this season. The Wildcats conceded an average of 68.5 points in 2021-2022, good for 163rd.
