Santa Clara at Utah State – 11/14/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Santa Clara Broncos will head to Logan and take on the Utah State Aggies from Spectrum Monday night. This will mark the first time these two schools cross paths.

Santa Clara is 2-0 after non-conferences wins over Eastern Washington and Georgia Southern to begin the season. The Broncos picked up double-digit victories over both groups of Eagles with two 30-point performances from newcomer Brandin Podziemski. Santa Clara is scoring 81.0 points per game, while shooting 40.5% from the field, and 36% from the three-point line.

The Broncos have a big-time player in Podziemski. The Illinois transfer has kicked off his time in California on a very high note, and he leads the nation in scoring after a 34-point double-double in the win over Georgia Southern. Fellow sophomore guard Carlos Stewart is second on the team in scoring 20 points in the opener. When 2021-22 leading scorer Keyshawn Justice breaks out of this slump, , teams will need to watch for the Broncos.
