Courtland Sutton projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Denver Broncos player profile, season outlook, simulations

There's no doubt the cheers of the Broncos receivers could be heard loudly in March when it was announced that Russell Wilson was officially being traded from Seattle to Denver. With Tim Patrick now out for the season due to a torn-ACL, Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy should be Denver's equivalent to D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in Seattle. Despite playing every game in 2021, Sutton's numbers with lackluster quarterback play were a major disappointment disappointment. He tota led less than 800 yards on a meager 58 catches and only scored twice. Sutton's best season to date was in 2019 when he caught 72 passes for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. Unfortunately the following season he was injured in Week One and ruled out for the season afterwards.

With the future Hall of Famer Wilson now leading Denver's offense, Sutton should easily eclipse his career high for catches, yards, and quite possibly touchdowns. He should be viewed as a fantasy WR2 with potentially fringe WR1 upside depending on Wilson's preference of him vs. Jeudy. Both should be considered fantasy starters and drafted in the middle rounds accordingly.
