The Ole Miss Rebels host the Florida Atlantic Owls Friday night. These two teams have not played one another in recent years. The Rebels of the SEC and the Owls of Conference USA are both 1-0 on the season.
The Florida Atlantic Owls are expected to be one of the top teams in Conference USA this season. This will be their first test as they played a Division II school, Lynn University, in the opener and won without breaking a sweat 81-46.

The Owls dominated on the boards 50-28. Johnell Davis led the way with 15 points while Nick Boyd and Jalen Gaffney had 10 points each. Alijah Martin had 9 points and 9 rebounds while Giancarlo Rosado had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Forrest is listed as questionable. Forrest was the second leading scorer a year ago averaging 13.2 points per game.
