Two excellent runners will be on display when Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers visit Travis Etienne and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
The 49ers were knocked off by the Cincinnati Bengals 31-17 in their last game. In that matchup with the Bengals, Brock Purdy had 365 yards on 22-of-31 passing (71.0%) for the Niners, with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also carried the ball six times for 57 yards. McCaffrey rushed for 54 yards on 12 carries (4.5 yards per carry) and one touchdown, adding six receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown. George Kittle had 149 yards on nine catches (16.6 per reception) in that game.
The Jaguars are coming off of a 20-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Trevor Lawrence threw for 292 yards for the Jags against the Steelers, going 24-for-32 (75.0%) with one touchdown and one interception. Etienne put together a 24-carry, 79-yard game (3.3 yards per attempt), while also adding three receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown. Evan Engram picked up 88 yards through the air after 10 catches (on 10 targets).
