3 Unique U.S. Open Prop Bets You Have to Bet in 2023

The 2023 U.S. Open is just days away, set to tee off on Thursday, June 15 at Los Angeles Country Club. With 156 of the world's best players competing in some of the toughest conditions the game has to offer, the U.S. Open always delivers some phenomenal golf.

While betting on a player to win is the most common f orm of wagering in any golf tournament, FanDuel Sportsbook is offering tons of different wagering types and opportunities for the U.S. Open.

Let's take a look at three unique prop bets you should consider betting this week.

2023 U.S. Open Prop Bets

1. Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka Both to Finish in the Top 20 (+100)

These two guys are tied for the second-best odds to win the whole tournament as of Monday afternoon, and that's unlike ly to change without a withdrawal. Rahm and Koepka are both in the conversation for the best golfer in the world right now and rightfully so. Koepka is coming off a win at the PGA Championship and a T2 at the Masters, which Rahm won. Rahm has finished in the top 2 in four of his last five starts dating back to the Masters, while Koepka is famous for turning it on during majors. Considering both of these guys could end up winning the whole tournament, getting them both to finish in the top 20 feels like a no-brainer.

2. No Tournament Hole in One (-106)

This side surprisingly has lower odds than there being a hole-in-one during the tournament. Since 2000, there have only been 17 hole-in -ones at the U.S. Open. The public is likely overreacting to recent trends here, as there were multiple hole-in-ones in 2021 and one last year as well. Still, the historical numbers point more towards a hole-in-one not happening, so at close to even money the value is there.

3. Scottie Scheffler to Finish Top-10, Including Ties (-120)

Scottie Scheffler has been a model of consistency this season. He has now finished in the top 10 in eight of his last nine starts, and the one time he missed the top 10, he finished T11. Of those nine starts, seven of them were top-5 finishes, including a streak of four in a row coming into this event. When it comes to majors, Scheffelr has finished insi de the top 10 in both of the ones this season along with three of his last four and six of his last eight. You have to pay a little juice on this one, but Scheffler finishing top 10 has been as close to automatic as it gets in golf this season.
