3 Best Prop Bets for Maple Leafs vs Panthers Game 3 (Auston Matthews Keeps Peppering the Net on the Road)

Sunday's NHL Playoffs slate includes an exciting Game 3 showdown between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers. The Panthers have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead after winning Game 1 by a score of 4-2 and Game 2 by a score of 3-2. The Maples Leafs' backs are against the wall now.

Here are three of the'best prop bets'for Maple Leafs-Panthers Game 3, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Maple Leafs vs Panthers Game 3 Player Props

1. Auston Matthews – Shots On Goal: Over 4.5 (-118)

The Maple Leafs are in desperate need of a win considering only four teams in NHL history have come back to win a series when facing a 3-0 deficit. With that being said, look for Toronto to lean on star player Auston Matthews when attacking the net again. Matthews has tallied 6 shots on goal in each of the first two games of this series and logged at least 5 shots on goal in two of the three away games in the first round. He also leads the team in shots on goal this season, so trusting him to step up is a great option.

2. Ryan O'Reilly – Points: Over 0.5 (-136)

Ryan O'Reilly started off the playoffs by tallying 5 points across the Maple Leafs' first four games. He was held off the stat sheet in Games 5 & 6 against the Lightning but has found his groove once again in this series. O'Reilly has notched 1 point in each of the first two games as he logged an assist in Game 1 and scored a goal in Game 2. He found similar success with Toronto in the regular s eason after he was acquired at the trade deadline, too, posting 11 points in 13 games. The Panthers have yet to find an answer for O'Reilly's playmaking abilities.

3. Matthew Tkachuk – Assists: Over 0.5 (-172)

Any bettors willing to take on juiced odds should not hesitate to back Matthew Tkachuk to log at least 1 assist on Sunday. The 25-year-old has racked up 4 assists across the first two games of this series, which increases his postseason total to 10. Tkachuk has posted at least 1 assist in seven of the Panthers' nine playoff games as well as in 12 of the team's last 16 games overall. He is controlling what Florida does on the offensive end and it has been leading t o goals. There's no reason for head coach Paul Maurice to switch up that strategy now.
