The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing with another eight matchups set for action on Monday. One of those battles features the Orlando Magic (0-3) and New York Knicks (1-1) in a showdown between Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls.

1. Paolo Banchero – Points: Over 18.5 (-118)
Orlando has wasted no time letting the No. 1 overall selection in the 2022 NBA Draft run wild this season. Paolo Banchero is making an immediate impact, averaging 23.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists across his first three career games. He has hit the 20-point mark in every contest so far and has a great opportunity to do so again on Monday night. Banchero's scoring has been aide d by his ability to get to the free throw line, which should come in handy against a Knicks' defense that ranks dead last in the NBA with 26.0 personal fouls per game. Evan Fournier is not going to be able to stop the former Duke standout from getting to the rim.
2. Wendell Carter – Rebounds: Over 9.5 (-113)
Wendell Carter has tallied at least 10 rebounds in two of his three games this season. Keep in mind the only time he didn't was when he attempted a rare seven shots from beyond the arc, leaving him with no time to get to the rim for offensive boards. The Knicks are allowing 69.5 rebounds per game (No. 30 in NBA), which can be attributed to their subpar shooting percentages on offense and i nability to consistently block out around the rim on defense. Carter averages a reliable 10.3 rebounds per game against New York in his career and finds himself in a game that features two teams that play at a top-10 pace. Rebounds won't be hard to come by.
3. RJ Barrett – Points + Rebounds + Assists: Under 30.5 (-111)
It has not been as stellar of a start to the season as many were expecting for RJ Barrett. The 22-year-old is averaging only 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in his first two games since signing a four-year contract extension worth $120 million. It's not due to a lack of volume, either. Barrett has logged at least 15 shot attempts in both games and played in a total 64 minutes. It's due to the fact that he has yet to hit a shot from three-point range (0-for-7) and has only gotten to the free throw line eight times. Even in an advantageous matchup against the Magic, it's hard to trust Barrett right now. Back his under until he provides a reason not to.
