Broncos vs Chargers MNF Prop Bets Tonight
1. Russell Wilson – Pass Completions: Over 19.5 (-122)
There's no denying that it has been a rough start to the season for quarterback Russell Wilson. It has taken him some time to adjust to a new offensive personnel and new head coach. The biggest thing he has going for him on Monday night is a positive game script. The Chargers are expected to take an early lead here and are without Joey Bosa in their pass rush. That means Wilson is going to lean on his arm and have a ton of time to find an open receiver. LA is giving up the sixth-most completions per game this season (24.2) and Wilson has hit the over on this mark three times in 2022. He needs to step up tonight.
2. Austin Ekeler – Rushing + Receiving Yards: Over 101.5 (-114)
Running back Austin Ekeler has been unstoppable over the last two weeks following his slow start to the season. In Weeks 4 and 5, the fifth-year pro logged 233 rushing yards on 29 carries to go along with 75 receiving y ards on 10 receptions. Seeing him go over 100 total yards for the third game in a row wouldn't be too surprising. Ekeler leads all RBs in yards after the catch as well as forced missed tackles, which should come in handy against a stout Broncos defense. Keep in mind he also posted totals of 99 yards and 112 yards in his two matchups against Denver in 2021. Ekeler knows what it takes to win divisional showdowns.
3. Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Melvin Gordon (+155)
Backing a starting running back to score a touchdown in a game that features a relatively high total (45.5) always lines up as an intriguing option. It becomes even more intriguing when the odds are listed at +155. Melvin Gordon leads all Br oncos players with 12 touches in the red zone this season and 6 of those touches came in Week 5 alone. It's clear the coaching staff trusts the two-time Pro Bowler to get the job done in short-yardage situations. The Chargers have already given up 8 total touchdowns to opposing RBs through five weeks of play, too. Without Bosa wreaking havoc on the edge of the D-line, look for Gordon to break free for at least one score.
