3 Best Prop Bets for 76ers vs Celtics Game 1 on May 1 (Tobias Harris Steps Up From a Scoring Perspective)

Monday's NBA Playoffs slate includes a thrilling Game 1 showdown between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics. Not only have the Celtics emerged victorious in three of their four regular season meetings against the 76ers, but they have also won six of their last seven playoff series against Philly.

Here are three of the'best prop bets'for 76ers-Celtics Game 1, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

76ers vs Celtics Game 1 Player Props

1. Tobias Harris – Points: Over 16.5 (-113)

The main storyline heading into Game 1 revolves around the fact that Joel Embiid is listed as doubtful to play with a knee injury. The 76ers will need their role players to step up if the All-Star center cannot give it a go. Tobias Harris proved he can be trusted to do just that as he averaged 20.3 poin ts per game on a 56.7% shooting mark during Philly's first round sweep. Harris also notably averages 20.6 points across 76 games played without Embiid since joining the 76ers in 2019. Overall, the 30-year-old has tallied at least 17 points in six of his last 11 games against Boston as well as in 20 of his last 29 playoff games.

2. Jayson Tatum – Points: Under 28.5 (-102)

Jayson Tatum is coming off an undeniably great first round as he averaged 27.2 points per game on a 45.3% shooting percentage. The simple fact is that this is a matchup he historically struggles with. Tatum has been held to fewer than 29 points in 20 of his 21 career games against the 76ers. He averaged only 21 poi nts across four games against Philadelphia this season, too, which was his lowest mark against any Eastern Conference opponent. Boston is loaded with scoring options and Tatum should have no trouble dishing the ball out more often if it results in a Game 1 victory.

3. Derrick White – Points + Rebounds + Assists: Over 21.5 (-118)

I mentioned Boston's depth above and Derrick White is a big part of that depth. The veteran guard balled out inside TD Garden in the first round, averaging 22.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists across three home games. He thrives off the support of the crowd and also picked apart the 76ers in the regular season. White averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in four games against Philadelphia, which makes his points + rebounds + assists line of 21.5 stick out among Game 1 prop bets. He is a lock to see at least 30 minutes of action tonight, which gives him a chance to cash this prop against a Philly defense missing Embiid in the paint.
