Golf's third major of 2024 is upon us with the first two having been won by the top two players in the current world rankings, Scottie Scheffler (Masters) and Xander Schauffele (PGA Championship). The 2024 U.S. Open will be played at Pinehurst No. 2 outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, which has hosted this event previously in 1999, 2005, and 2014. The USGA is such a fan of the course that it is already scheduled to host again in 2029, 2035, 2041, and 2047. This year's winner will receive more than the the $3.6 million Wyndham Clark got last year for his conquest at Los Angeles Country Club.'
