The season's fourth and final major takes place beginning on July 18 at Royal Troon in Scotland, with the world's best golfers gathered to see who gets their name on the famous Claret Jug. The par-71 layout will play just shy of 7,400 yards and features plenty of bunkers in play off the tee and around the greens. But it's all about the wind at Royal Troon. If it's howling and playing into the players' faces, the course will be a bear. If the wind is at their back most of the time, scores should be low. A fie ld of 156 players will tee it up with a purse likely to be the same or slightly more than last year's $16.5 million. The top-70 and ties will make the cut and play into the weekend.
