It was a sad weekend for the PGA Tour in Texas as Grayson Murray, winner of the 2024 Sony Open, passed away at the age of 30. As the tournament continued with permission from Murray's family, Davis Riley dominated over the weekend to hold off world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, as well as Keegan Bradley and Collin Morikawa at the Charles Schwab Challenge. This week, the Tour moves north of the border to Hamilton Golf & Country Club in Ancaster, Ontario for the annual stop in Canada. Last year's thrilling edition was won by Can adian Nick Taylor in a dramatic playoff on a 70-foot putt, arguably the top highlight for the entire 2023 season. With the course moving back to the par-70 layout in Ontario, world No. 3 Rory McIlroy returns to the site of his victory in 2019. A full field of 156 players will compete for a purse of $9.4 million, with the winner taking home a cool $1.65 million.
