Tune into WIP in the Delaware Valley, as almost sports fans in the region do, and you might never know that Temple plays football. Amid all of the Eagles talk, and a bit here-and-there about the Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers, and maybe Villanova hoops, the hosts might not hear from more than a handful of callers each fall who want to talk about the Owls. That may not a bad for a locale in which underachievers are often best advised to enter witness protection.
