No. 14: Par 4, 320 yards
No. 15: Par 3, 151 yards
No. 18: Par 4, 497 yards
The golfer with the lowest score through those three holes will win.
If two or more players remain tied, a sudden-death round will start on the 18th hole.
The 2022 PGA Championship came down to the wire as Justin Thomas came from seven behind on Sunday to force a playoff with Will Zalatoris. Mito Pereira, the leader after three rounds, shot three over to blow the lead. The 2023 PGA Championship tees off on Thursday, May 18 from Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY, and we wanted to give you a refresher on the playoff rules ahead of the event.
As golf fans saw last year, a tie at the end of four rounds results in a three-hole playoff among the three golfers. At the end of the three holes, whoever has the lowest score is the winner. If there are any ties still remaining, the golfers will move to sudden death holes until there is a winner.
The last time the PGA Championship had a playoff before last year was in 2011 when Keegan Bradley edged out Jason Dufner. That was the second straight year the tournament had a playoff, as Martin Kaymer edged out Bubba Watson for the title in 2010.
