It seemed as if Rory McIlroy had next to no chance to win last week's Genesis Scottish Open with two holes left, as he trailed home countryman Robert MacIntyre by one shot. The oddsmakers agreed as McIlroy was listed as a +900 underdog heading into his 71st hole of the tournament. But Rory pulled off a victory that cements his status as the deserving favorite at Royal Liverpool this week, finishing birdie-birdie in extremely windy conditions to snatch the title from the Scottsman, MacIntyre. Now it's on to Hoylake, England for the season's final major, The Open Championship (formerly known as the British Open). A full field of 156 players will tee it up beginning Thursday, with the top-70 and ties making it to the weekend.
