The Denver Broncos made a giant splash last season, landing QB Russell Wilson in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. It didn’t work out terribly well, as the Broncos really struggled to jell offensively, and Denver ended up bottoming out at 5-12 in the AFC West Division.

This offseason, the Broncos spent big dollars to bring coach Sean Payton to the Denver to try to turn things around after the 5-win season.

Wilson, a.k.a. Mr. Unlimited, was rather limited in his 1st season the Mile High City, completing 60.5% of his pass attempts for 3,524 yards, 16 TD and 11 INT in 2022, good for an 84.4 QB Rating, which was well below his career average of 100.2. His completion percentage was also more than 4 points lower than his career 64.6% average.

The Broncos have brought in QB Ben DiNucci, who just lit up the XFL with the Seattle Sea Dragons, although the former Dallas Cowboys understudy will simply compete to be the backup to Wilson.
