After finishing with a 'league worst record of 3-14 in 2022, the Chicago Bears had major work to do to revamp the roster.

The first thing the Bears did to accomplish this was to trade the No.1 pick in the NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers. In return, Chicago received several draft picks, including the Panthers No. 1 selection in 2024, and a top WR in D.J. Moore.

The addition of Moore along with RB D'Onta Foreman and TE Robert Tonyan will give QB Justin Fields more weapons than he has had in his 1st 2 seasons. By drafting Darnell Wright to play tackle with the No. 9 overall pick, the Bears have also solidified the line in front of Fields.

After taking Wright, the Bears used their next 3 picks to upgrade their defense. This started with DT Gervon Dexter Sr. out of Florida in Round 2 and followed up by the selection of CB Tyrique Stevenson, who finished his career at Miami after starting at Georgia. The final Day 2 pick was DL Zacch Pickens out of South Carolina.
