Teams looking to get hot at just the right time meet when the Charleston Southern Buccaneers face the High Point Panthers in the first round of the Big South Conference Tournament on Wednesday. The Buccaneers (9-20, 5-13 Big South), who last won the conference tournament in 1997, is just 2-11 in their last 13 games. The Panthers (14-16, 6-12), who have never won the Big South Conferenc e Tournament, has finished second twice, the last coming in 2004. Charleston Southern is coming off an 85-59 win over Presbyterian on Saturday, while High Point dropped an 84-78 decision at Winthrop that same day.
