The conference has gone through Vermont in recent seasons with the Catamounts earning at least a share of the regular-season title each of the past seven seasons with three NCAA Tournament appearances in the last four seasons.

The conference has a lot of slower teams in terms of tempo with Bryant being an outlier, ranking 26th nationally in possessions per game. Vermont and New Hampshire were 307th or slower in possessions per game.
