That may not happen every year of course, but with one of the richest histories in the sport, and they get some of the best recruits in the country every single offseason to join up with their program. Last season was a massive disappointment for North Carolina, coming off a National Runner-up in the 2022 NCAA tournament, and were ranked #1 in the Preseason AP poll.
