Duke is the most wagered-on college basketball team almost every single season, and it's because of its rich history and constant influx of talent to the program year after year. This coming season is no different, as the Blue Devils are the betting favorites to win the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

They finished the 2023 season 27-9, 14-6 in ACC play to finish in a tie for third place. As the No. 4 seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated Pittsburgh, Miami, and Virginia to win the tournament championship. The championship was their 22nd ACC tournament victory in program history. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 5 seed in the East region. There, they defeated Oral Roberts before losing in the se cond round to Tennessee.
