2022 Texas Bowl odds: Decimated LSU may be forced to start receiver at quarterback vs. Kansas State

LSU starting quarterback Max Johnson transferred to Texas A&amp ;M weeks ago. Myles Brennan originally announced he also was planning to transfer but decided to return for new head coach Brian Kelly – but Brennan will not play tonight.

Interim head coach Brad Davis – he has been retained by Kelly and will remain LSU''s offensive line coach in 2022 — will have just 39 scholarship players available tonight and will have to use either freshman walk-ons Tavion Faulk and/or Matt O'Dowd under center or senior receiver Jontre Kirklin, a stellar high school quarterback in Louisiana who was a scout team QB for LSU in 2019.
