Sam Burns has played at memorial twice in his professional career, finishes 8th in this event in both 2020 and 2021. Now he comes back as one of the favorites because of that. While he still has to best Scottie Scheffler, the runner-up in this event last year, Burns is in a great position to do that. His grabbed a T7 in his last start at THE CJ CUP and comes into this event as one of the most talented golfers in the field and a great resume on a course he's clearly comfortable on.
